Hoping everyone is having a wonderful and Blessed week!
I purchased this skirt on a recent thrifting trip. I am really not too crazy about plaid. Plaid reminds me of tablecloth or throw pillows that belong on my grandparents sofa! However, for some reason I just couldn't resist this skirt...maybe it's the lil' country girl in me or maybe it was the $2 price tag..Either way, I purchased it and wore it and surprisingly received compliments. However, I am still on the fence about it... I was trying something new.... What do you ladies think? Yay or Nay?!
What I Am Wearing:
Skirt-Thrifted-$2
Denim Shirt-H&M
Earrings-Aldo
Shoes-H&M
Bracelets-Aldo and Forever 21
Belt-H&M
Clutch-Thrifted-$4
Wow! Your heels and the denim shirt paired w/ the plaid skirt is per-fection, girl! :)

I happen to be a fan of plaid and I must say you pulled it off! Pairing it with the Denim shirt was perfect and the tan belt and shoes makes all the colors pop out the dress.
ReplyDeleteSend me that clutch!! I'll forward my address :-)
def yay! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI say yay! If you were to change anything, it would be to MAYBE hem the skirt an inch or two. But, really, I think it looks great. Plus, with the colors, it's not a traditional-looking plaid.
ReplyDeletelove thrifted pieces! i am generally not a huge plaid fan myself, but i love this skirt, and the look! i think it looks awesome with this denim top- i would so wear this outfit! the heels add some glam to the outfit, which is awesome-i love it! :)

Thanks ladies for the feedback, I guess this skirt is a keeper :-)
ReplyDelete@Kish-thanks for the suggestion to hem the skirt, I think that would give the skirt a better overall feel.

I like it but think for the busy pattern, it would look better shortened.

I love how you styled it! It's not the kind of thing you're going to want to wear too often since it makes such an impact. And I do agree that hemming it just a bit would be a good idea (def still a midi, but showing a little more leg).

I'm not a big fan of plaid. I like how you coordinated the denim/jean shirt and the brown belt with the shoes. I would consider it a country Texas look!
