As some of you may already know I am really liking the 1950's style of clothing, as of lately. This particular dress was inspired by the 1950's era and from a photo from my inspiration board. This is a turquoise vintage dress I purchased during one of my thrifiting adventures and I just love the shape of the dress, as well as the length. This dress is a tad bit big on me, so I probably will have it taken in some and possibly shortened just a bit, before wearing it again.
Now, that I am giving the photos another glance over, the dress is pretty big on me and that's too bad because fit is everything..oh well! You win some and you lose some. :-)
I know you guys are SOOOO tired of seeing these wedges but I just LOVE them! They're so comfy and go with so many things I have! So pardon me in advance for being a repeat offender!!!

I personally think the dress is amazing and the fit is pretty but you're wearing it and you know if it's big or not. ever since I started thrifting I noticed I buy things which are a little too big and say Im gonna fix them and dont and try it big like that and end up not liking it so I told myself Im not getting anythign that fits too big or to tight thinking it's gonna either shrink lol or Im gonna loose the weight and eventually wear it..the way you paired it with the jean jacket looks amazing I love it !!!

It doesn't look too bog but looking at the material it can be easily altered and taken in if you think it is.

Thanks Ladies...for the feedback! Really appreciate it!
ReplyDelete@Jeimy-Girl, I am so with you on buying items and never getting them fixed...I purchased dresses and blazers approx. two months ago while thrifiting and they are all too big and they are still sitting in bags waiting to be taking to a seamtress..so I may have to adopt your way of thinking and only buy what doesn't need to be altered. lol....
I can't tell its big...it looks great! I would love a dress like that! The color is amazing and it looks perfect paired with your wedges. Girl please I wear my JC wedges with ERRYTHANG and I don't care who notices!! lol Thank you for all of your sweet comments! Kiah
ReplyDeleteLove the shoes, I was just in Aldo this weekend and was surprised by all the crazy patterns. So cute paired with a solid. That skirt length is so trendy right now, but I agree that long term a knee length might feel a little more wearable.

I've been reading for the last hour and I haven't been disappointed. This dress is just what you need to go on a styling rampage. I have something similar in green. I found it thrifitng and it fits like a glove. Can't wait to see what it again. Those wedges are everywhere and currently on sale. Hmmmm...thinking :))
