Black and Orange

Good Day Lovelies! I want to send a HUGE WELCOME to my new followers and a WARM Hello to my good ole' faithful followers!

To my "Northeasterner's", what a weekend huh? So unexpected, to say the least! Anywho, I am in love with orange this season. I don't know what it is but I have incorporated numerous orange pieces into my Fall wardrobe. Although, I am not big on Halloween, I still decided to be a little cheesy and throw on my black and orange to acknowledge the day.  One of my Fall must have's was a pair of leopard booties, so when I stumbled upon these babies on Akira's website a couple of months ago, I purchased them ASAP. This is my first time wearing them and I must say they are pretty comfy!

Hi All!
I overslept yesterday morning, my alarm clock malfunctioned and I literally had NO TIME to get ready. So, I saw this dress sticking out of my closet and knew this would be the best quick/no fuss option. Anywho, this is what I wore to work yesterday. My cousins, who are educators, asked me to style some looks wearing flats because heels aren't always practical for them....so this one is for you Ms. Tracie!

 No Clue what's up with this face...

Because I chose not to wear a black boyfriend blazer to break up some of the pattern, I kept my accessories very simple to keep the look from appearing too busy.

I threw on a pair of leggings underneath the dress due to the lower sheer portion of the dress and the chilly Fall weather...

Hi Ladies!

Hoping everyone had a great weekend and wishing everyone a Blessed week! For whatever reason, I tend to dress pretty casual on Monday's. I'm hardly ever in the mood to get "dressed" on Monday mornings.....maybe I am subconsciously mourning the end of the weekend..lol!  Anywho, here was my look for today.

So, when I thrifted this blazer this past Spring, I took it to the tailor, and he said to me, "You have the whole Miami Vice vibe going on." I don't know how I feel/felt about that comment but I'm sure he meant well... :-)

Corporate Chic: Grey Poupon Anyone?

Greetings All!

So, when I first saw this dress on the H&M website, I knew I had to have it and luckily I was able to find it in the store...that never happens for me. I always see items on their site and go to the store and it's either sold out or my size is no longer available. I think this dress is such a gorgeous color for the Fall. It reminds me of Honey Dijion, hence, the "Grey Poupon" post title...I tried to be a little clever.. Anywho, this is what I wore today. I loved the 70 degree weather we had today. Seems like Fall is finally approaching and we will not have too many more days like this. So, I am soaking it up...

My weekend was long and uneventful....I had to work this Saturday. So, Sunday was a very lazy day for me and I didn't get a thing accomplished.....but Sleep! Oh well, there's always next weekend :-)  My look today was pretty laid back and basic. Here's what I wore...

1. I love Reality TV. (Jersey Shore, Say Yes to the Dress, All of the Real Housewives Seasons, Basketball Wives, Bad Girls Club, etc.)
2. I've been with my boo for 8 years and we're not engaged. (Hopefully, he's reading this and gets my drift..lol) 
3. My fav. colors are red, pink, and sometimes purple.
4. I enjoy decorating.
5. I really wish I knew how to sew, so I can make my own clothes and do my own alterations.
6. I love God and put him first in everything I do!
7. It's really hard to come up with 7 random facts about myself, I guess I'm not that interesting...lol!
